Actor Rob Lowe reminded many followers of his perpetually upbeat “Parks and Recreation” character tonight as he tweeted out some encouragement for anxious high school graduates. It was a simple tweet, but it managed to say a lot.

How did @roblowe know exactly what I needed to hear?!? #ThanksRob

@roblowe Thanks for that. My daughter is in that process now. Great words of wisdom!

@roblowe “declined” is also code for “their loss”

I give out that advice all the time #dayjob. But if @roblowe says it, maybe seniors will listen to him! #ChrisTraegerKnowsBest

@roblowe Great words. The declined part makes sense. There is something out there for those that get that letter. Something right for them.

@roblowe How awesome & positive! My daughter is waiting for hers. She deserves the best; put off college taking care of me. Her time is now!

@roblowe I need to show this to my son after getting his #ACT scores today

— Michelle(@msnbarbie) April 5, 2013

@roblowe That literally sounds like something that Chris Traeger would say!

@roblowe That just brought back memories of when I was young enough to think the characters in St. Elmo’s Fire were old 🙂
