Hollywood legend Larry Hagman of CBS’s “Dallas” and “I Dream of Jeannie” fame died last year after a valiant battle with cancer. Television veteran and equally legendary actor Jack Klugman also died last year. Many viewers were irked by the Emmy Awards show producers’ bizarre decision to feature a stand-alone special tribute to Fox “Glee” star Cory Montieth, but not Hagman (who turned CBS prime-time into a powerhouse) or Klugman.

Hagman, Klugman, and other veterans who died this year were treated as afterthoughts.
